Trees Hall


Constructed in 1962 and named after University of Pittsburgh alumnus and benefactor Joseph C. Trees, this multi-purpose complex is a hotbed for exercise and recreational activity among students, faculty and staff. In addition to the Department of Intramurals and Recreation, Trees Hall is utilized by the Department of Health and Physical Activity and Varsity Athletics.

Trees Hall consists of three full-sized Basketball Courts, a Multi-Purpose Room, Dance Studio and nine Racquet Ball Courts, all of which are scheduled for Open Recreation, Intramural Sports, and Club Sports. The complex houses an Indoor Driving Range & Putting Green, Rock Climbing Wall and Weight Room. Trees Pool, which consists of an Olympic-size pool and separate six lane pool, is also a part of the complex.

Sporting equipment and Locker rentals at Trees Hall are available through our Rental Service.

Facility Reservations requests for Trees Hall are accepted and may be submitted to the Intramurals and Recreation office.
