Dedicated in 1962 to Joeseph C. Trees, this facility serves as the main site for aquatics programming through the Department of Intramurals and Recreation. The facility consists of two adjoining pools. The large pool is Olympic-size (50 meters by 25 yards), equipped with spring boards and 10 meter platform, and serves as the primary pool for Recreational Swimming, team practices and competitions. The small pool consists of six lanes and is used to supplement additional programming such as water aerobics and swim lessons. Trees Pool is used by students enrolled in classes through the Department of Health and Physical Activity and is the practice site for several university recognized sports clubs such as Water Polo, Panther Swim Club and Team Pittsburgh. Trees Pool is also the home of the Men's and Women's Varsity Swimming & Diving Teams.
